Magnetism and Ferroelectricty on a Kagomé Staircase

I will discuss the kagome related spin-1 antiferromagnet Ni3V2O8. Our recent polarized diffraction experiments demonstrate that the chiral magnetic domain distribution can be manipulated through the application of an electric field. Previously published work on this material may be found here:
